Maui was the inventor of the kite. When he was finished making it he had so much fun playing with it in the wind. The darkness came too soon. The fishermen didn’t have enough time to fish, the farmers didn’t have enough time to plant or weed, and his mother didn’t have enough time to dry one side of her kapa. The sun was going too fast across the sky. |
