
John F. Kennedy also known as "JFK"
President John F. Kennedy was born May 29,1917 in Brooklyn Massachusetts. JFK's mother was the daughter of the Mayor in Boston. His father was a rich and tough man. JFK's mother had 8 children including JFK.
JFK commanded one, little, navy ship called "PT 109". On one August night, while at sea, JFK's boat was split in half by a passing Japanese destroyer which cut the boat in half. He managed to swim to safety. He was known as a hero of war and he got the Purple Heart a medal that is awarded to soldiers who are injured in the line of duty.
JFK met a young woman named Jacqueline or "Jackie". They had two children named Caroline and John Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia. As a child Martin Luther King Jr.'s favorite things were baseball, football, and basketball. When Martin Luther King Jr. was about five he went to a school where all of the children had to be black. There was a school for black people and a school for white people. Martin Luther King Jr. would ride his bike when he was little and he also liked singing in church, he mostly sang in his father's church. He would play football but never wanted to play because his friends were white and Martin Luther King Jr. was black. Martin Luther King Jr. and his friends would play football in Martin Luther King Jr.'s backyard. There came a time when he was no longer allowed to play with his white friends.
When grew older he went to High School and on to college. He decided he wanted to be a minister. When he was older, Martin Luther King Jr. lead a march to Washington D.C. This was where he met a girl named Coretta Scott. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott fell in love, and were married becoming wife and husband.
Martin Luther King Jr. was famous because he wanted things to be equal for other people. Martin Luther King Jr. did lead a protest. Martin Luther King Jr.'s job was when Rosa Parks would not get off the bus so that a white lady could get that seat. Black people throughout a city refused to ride the bus. Martin Luther king Jr. was thinking about to move back to Atlanta in 1960, but he continued to lead peaceful protests against the white people, but it wasn't only the white people. Martin Luther King Jr. led many marches for freedom because everyone wants black and white so that it could be equal. One night Martin Luther King Jr. was going to meet someone and his house was bombed.
On April 4th, a man was hiding with a gun and he held the gun and aimed at Martin Luther King Jr.'s head. The man fired the gun, and Martin Luther King Jr. was dead. He thought there would be a time when the world would be free at last. They took Martin Luther King Jr. to the cemetery. People gave Martin Luther King Jr. flowers. Everyone was very sad that Martin Luther King Jr. died. Before Martin Luther King Jr. died, he would tell God, 'Thank you'. Martin Luther King Jr. said, 'Free at last. Free at last. Thank God Almighty, I'm free at last'.
He became president of the United States in 1960. He was a dearly loved president. One day Jackie and JFK where waving in a car and then all of a sudden three rifle shot were heard and JFK fell forward in his seat. A couple of minutes later JFK was dead.
