Henry Ford was born on a farm near Dearborn, July 30,1863, and was educated in schools. Ford was a mechanical engineer and after that he was a chief engineer. He was with the Edison IIIuminating Co. from1888 through 1889.

Henry was the first person to invent a non-horse vehicle. He wanted to make a car right off the bat, but didn't know how. He made a gas buggy, for example, out of wheels, a motor, some steel bars and a plank of wood that he carved. He had an oil can too. He was married in 1885 to a woman named Clara Jane Bryant.

After he made the gas buggy he made a special car called, "The Model T" for $2,500. Then he made the "Model A", the "Model D", the "Model C" and the "Model B". He made a lot of cars because he didn't want to move five miles per hour on a horse covered wagon any more.

Henry Ford died at the age of 83 at Fair Lane, his old Dearborn home. He died in 1947.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Helen Keller. She was born on June 27,1880. She could talk, then crawl, and even walk. But one day all of that stopped. Helen had a burning fever. Doctors thought that it was a scarlet fever. Helen seemed to be getting better. She was fine but the fever left Helen, who was only six months old , blind and deaf. Her parents did not know that she was blind, deaf, and dumb. One day Helen's mother was putting her hand in front of Helen's face. Helen Keller would just stay there like nobody had even woke her up. She was in a dark and silent world. Helen's mother put her hand even closer to Helen's face. Then poor Helen's mother screamed "my baby's blind". Then one night Captain Keller rang the dinner bell. Helen loved to eat. But this time she just sat lazy on the couch. Then they knew the truth. So then they went to Boston. They met Alexander Graham Bell. He was the one who invented the telephone. He told them to go see the Perkins School for the Blind. On a Monday morning every body was in a crazy rush. The house was clean from top to bottom. Even the guest room was clean which it never is. Helen's mother had to leave to pick up Annie Sullivan. Mrs. Keller gently pushed Helen off of her dress and rode in a carriage. Helen sat on the steps. Then somebody arrived. She reached out. She thought it was her mother but it really was Annie Sullivan. She came all the way from Boston to see Helen from the Perkins School for the Blind. She came to the joyful house in Tuscumbia, Alabama on a farm. Helen screamed and kicked to get free. Luckily Helen's dad was close by. He said " let Helen go" as loud as his lungs could say. So Annie Sullivan said "let's start our first lesson". Helen did not want to start her first lesson. Then Helen's mom came and welcomed Annie Sullivan to the Keller's house. Helen felt a doll that she really liked. Annie said that doll was for her from the girls at the Perkins School for the Blind. Annie Sullivan was blind. Annie lived there her whole life. Annie said "that's how I am going to teach Helen". Annie took the doll away from Helen. Annie spelled into Helen's hand d-o-l-l. Annie spelled it again but Helen did not understand. Then Helen spelled d-o-l-l into Annie's hand. That night at dinner Annie had seen how Helen would just take food off of other peoples plate. Annie said that the Keller's are not teaching Helen good. Annie did not want that to happen to her. One morning Helen had locked Annie in her room and hid the key. Helen would not tell her mom where it was. Mr. Keller had to get a ladder and rescue Annie from out of the window. Helen and Annie took a walk and found a water pump. Annie would pour the water and Helen would feel the water. Then Helen knew that everything had a name. That day Helen learned m-o-t-h-e-r, f-a-t-h-e-r, and t-e-a-c-h-e-r which Helen would call Annie Sullivan for the rest of Helen's life. Helen's fear was thunder because she thought it was a huge giant that was coming to hurt her. One morning Helen was eating breakfast with Annie Sullivan. Helen was done and she smelled sausage coming from Annie's plate. She was about to grab it but Annie Sullivan was furious. She was so mad that she almost choked Helen. Annie gave her a fork but Helen threw it across the wide room. Helen got free. But the door was locked. When she tried again the door was still locked. Helen's parents told Annie to let her go. But Annie refused. Annie said " I must teach her to not take peoples food from other peoples plates". Then after that Annie said "I need to take Helen away". For the summer Helen and Annie went on a boat to an island and played in the sand. Helen loved anything that moves. Then time was up. They went back to the lonely cottage. They had a nickname called Ivy Green. They have that as their nickname because all of that green ivy that grows around their house.

If you would like to know why Helen Keller is so important this is it: Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on a farm June 27,1880. She was blind and, deaf. The reason why Helen Keller is so important is because she found all new ways to talk and hear. She could feel the vibrations that came from the ground. She could talk with her hands. When Helen was older she wanted to go to a private girls college. So Helen and Annie went to the President. Helen said she could go to college. But the President said she couldn't. So Helen wrote a note that said: Let me try. And so Helen got to try. But when it came to reading Helen did not have a book that had braille writing. Helen did not know what to do. But she had been waiting very long for something. Helen Keller wanted to know what she was. So one night after Helen had graduated from college, Annie told Helen that she was a blind and deaf. Then the next night after that, Helen was shocked when a very sad thing happened. Annie Sullivan died on October 19th,1936. Helen had pain in her life but never like this. She thought back through all of the lessons she managed to learn. Helen Keller said that the first day she met Annie Sullivan was her souls birthday. Before Annie Sullivan died Helen gave thousands of speeches. Then somebody named President Franklin Roosevelt asked Helen to go to an army and teach the people new ways to talk and hear. Then after that some other terrible thing happened to Helen. Helen Keller died when she was eighty-seven on June 1,1968. Helen Keller knows that Annie Sullivan will always be in her heart.
