Book Topic: Evaporation
Title: The Journey of a Raindrop by Nicholas
Software Used: Kid Pix and Claris Works
As a class we studied the water cycle. I read a number of books that gave information and good illustrations of evaporation. We studied the topic for about a week and a half, introducing important vocabulary. The children wrote a creative story about the journey of a raindrop using the facts learned, then typed them on the computer. They saved their work in their Class Works Folder. From there I chose the story I wanted to enter in the book contest.
The illustrations were done in Kid Pix to illustrate the different parts of the story, which became the pages to the book.
