Mr. Thomas Jefferson was a really great man in his days. It might seem weird that oh, can I have your autograph Mr.Jefferson please, please. But he's one of the three greatest men in the U.S.A. So celebrate his birthday and President's Day. This is how it started. Thomas Jefferson was born in Virginia, April, 13, 1743. He grew up in Shadwell. When he was only two they moved to Tuckahoe, met some people then moved to Shadwell. Thomas Jefferson had lots of friends like his Jefferson's Indian chief friend and a person in the house of burgesses named Patrick Henry. He also had a friend named John Adams. It seems like he has friends all over the world. Thomas Jefferson invented the fruit picker and also wrote the Declaration of Independence. He also invented a rotating table for his flies. He invented a cool machine that could write two copies of a letter at the same time. He built a tiny elevator (called the dumbwaiter ) to carry bottles of wine from his basement to his kitchen. He also made a comfortable chair that had a writing table attached to it. Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the U.S.A. He might of made more things in his life. I know he has died. He died on July 4, 1826. Now, do you see how Thomas Jefferson was? So do what I asked, and celebrate his birthday and Presidents Day. |
